De API dekking zegt iets over de mogelijkheden om verschillende koppelingen te bouwen. Echter, de mogelijkheden tot het maken van een specifieke koppeling zijn natuurlijk ook sterk afhankelijk van de wensen en eisen voor individuele use-cases.

Laatste ontwikkelingen bij de Acumatica API

Acumatica introduceerde in 2017 een contract-based REST API als opvolger van de oudere screen-based services. De API wordt halfjaarlijks uitgebreid met nieuwe entiteiten en versies. Webhook-ondersteuning, OAuth 2.0 en uitgebreide payroll-, service- en commerce-endpoints zijn sindsdien toegevoegd.

Laatste ontwikkelingen bij de PayPal API

PayPal lanceerde de eerste REST API's in 2013 als opvolger van de Classic NVP/SOAP-integraties. Daarna kwamen Subscriptions, Invoicing, Payouts, Disputes en Vault erbij. Orders v2 is sinds 2019 de standaard voor checkout en Webhooks vervingen IPN als notificatiekanaal.
